Harvard University - Halcyon Days Enamel Box

Halcyon Days enamel box, Harvard University. In very good condition. 1 1/8" high x 2 1/8" wide. The inside of the box has the Harvard logo. The front of the box shows a view of Harvard patterned after Paul Revere's 1767 engraving of 'The Colleges in Cambridge, New England' - Holden Chapel, Hollis and Harvard Halls, Stoughton College, Massachusetts Hall. The oldest American University is known for nurturing independent thinkers. Halcyon Days boxes are made in England and have enjoyed Royal patronage, having been commissioned to produce designs for The Queen Mother, The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh and The Prince of Wales. They were granted royal warrants as the first “Suppliers of Objets d’Art” between 1972 and 1987.

Distribution of Halcyon Days Enamels is highly selective and is restricted to stores such as Tiffany's and Neiman-Marcus.
