Original Dartmouth Winter Carnival Poster 1978. The theme of the 1978 carnival is "The Greatest Snow on Earth". Dimensions approximately 22" x 34". Unused having no more than edge nicks or wrinkles, if any. Officially named Winter Carnival, the annual event evolved into a legendary festival once dubbed the Mardi Gras of the North by National Geographic magazine. Offset lithograph poster designed by an unknown artist. Our posters were purchased in bulk and come from the college and are not reproductions.
