Harvard v. Yale Football Program 1899. Cambridge, November 18th. 45 page program was pasted into a book at one time, some residual glue on the back and program was folder in half at one time, still in quite good condition.
Game played at Soldiers Field. The program is full of late 19th century advertisements for bankers, brokers, wine merchants, hats, department stores, dry goods, florists and the White Star Line. Nice black and white pictures of players from both teams as well as action from previous football games. The scorecards on pages 17 and 19 are in fine condition. There is a list of college yells for hundreds of colleges on pages 21-25 and a list of college colors on pages 27-29. Includes a brief sketch (bio) on each player.
The nice cover illustration is of two players in the midst of a tackle.
A rare program.
