Vintage 2001 Penn Relay Medal. The medal is for the 4 by 400 relay. Ben Franklin is depicted on the front, his right hand shaking the hand of one of four athletes, as he extends an olive branch with his left hand. "Founded 1895" is inscribed above Franklin and the four athletes. The last athlete is holding a relay baton behind his back.

The Penn Relays are the oldest and largest track and field competition in the United States and began in 1895.
