Harvard Wedgwood Plate Widener Library

1927 Wedgwood Blue & White Harvard University Plate measures 9-15/16" in diameter and is in excellent condition with no cracks, scratches, breaks or crazing. Marked on the back with printed and impressed "Wedgwood". Also marked "The Widener Library". Plate is stamped and embossed with Wedgwood marks on reverse.

Each plate had a limited run of approximately 5,000 in 1927. Widener Library was so named in honor of Harry Elkins Widener who died on the Titanic. His family donated the money to have the Library built in his name.
