Penn Relays Program 1948

Program for the annual University of Pennsylvania Relay Carnival 1948. 64 pages with illustrations and advertisements throughout, in good condition, some minor soiling to front cover and worn edge lower left of program. 

The Penn Relays are the oldest and largest track and field competition in the United States and began in 1895. Among those who have run the Penn Relays some well known names are: Jessie Owens, Roger Bannister, Usain Bolt, Buzz Aldrin, Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, and even Bernie Sanders, Wilma Rudolph, Bob Beamon, Edwin Moses, Joan Benoit Samuelson, and Marion Jones.
