This very attractive blue on white Wedgwood plate depicts in its center Clio and Whig Halls at Princeton University. The rim is decorated with garlands of flowers. On the back is the following inscription: "Princeton University 1930 Clio and Whig Halls". The diameter of the plate is 10 3/8 inches. The plates were made by Josiah Wedgwood and Sons, Ltd. in Staffordshire England. Were only sold as sets of twelve when they were originally offered for sale. The border on these dinner plates is a direct reproduction of that used on the 1830 series of armorial plates designed by T. Mayer of Stoke-upon-Trent. It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or crazing.
