Yale University Leather Slide Rule Case with Bulldogs

A unique and difficult to find vintage Yale item. A beautiful leather case made by Keuffel & Esser Co NY (849548 Patent 2,086,502), featuring the Yale Mascot, Handsome Dan on the front. Inside the case is an old slide rule in excellent condition. In the pre-calculator advanced mathematics and engineering equations were calculated using the complex slide rule and its logarithms. The case and slide rule measure 13 inches in length, 2 1/4 inches across and 1 inch deep. Three of the bulldogs are smoking pipes and one the one on the end is holding up his paw. The case has a leather and medal strap which is still in good working order. An ideal collectible or display piece.
